Hearts Are Floating For...Winnie the Pooh

Anyone who knew me growing up can attest to my love of Winnie the Pooh. It stemmed from my favorite stuffed bear which was given to me by my uncle when I was six months old. To this day Pooh Bear and I have never separated. That's him sitting in my current closet nestled among bags, hats and other accessories. (Sorry about the poor quality of the photo. The lighting in my closet is not so great...at least for pictures.)

It was so fun to learn that Pooh was inspired by a real bear named Winnipeg or Winnie for short. Also, all the other characters - Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore - were based on A.A. Milne's son's stuffed animals. I've read all the books more times than I can count and they remain some of my favorites even as an adult.
